Returns
Before you return an item, please contact me so I can offer advice or help, a problem may just be something simple that has been overlooked!
In the rare case of an item fault, I will cover the cost of your return postage on a service of my choice. This will be either Royal Mail, for small items, or through a reliable carrier service. Obviously, I will do my best to work with you to make the process as easy as possible.
Under distance selling regulations...any item can be returned for any reason, providing you give notification within 14 days of the initial purchase and that the item has not been used/ damaged by yourself.
All I ask is that you retain as much of the original packaging as possible and you post it back well protected. Under distance selling regulations, it is the buyer that is responsible for covering the cost of return post.
Warranty
All items sold are covered by a 12 month warranty. If a replacement product is not available, I may offer an alternative product or a refund which will take into account the usage you have had from the original product.
I will not be held responsible for any costs associated with the removal of a faulty product or the installation of the replacement product.
The installation of the goods should only be carried out by a competent person in accordance with the instructions supplied with the goods and relevant UK or European standards e.g. the latest edition of the I.E.E Wiring Regulations (BS7671). I will not be held responsible for failure of any Goods due to installation in an improper environment, installation not in accordance with relevant regulations, improper working practice, misuse, negligent storage or accidental damage. All of the goods incorporating electronic components are protected against damage which may result from transient voltages on the mains supply. The level of protection incorporated is generally in excess of the minimum level specified in the current international standards. It is the installer's responsibility to ensure that electronic equipment is not subjected to transients above the international immunity standards. I do not take responsibility for damage to any goods caused by excessive mains transients.
WEEE Directive
WEEE Regulations. The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health. To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed‐out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin. Please dispose of your items locally at the nearest household waste recycling centre, where there will be no charge. Details of these can be found using a search engine such as Google. Alternatively and In keeping with the requirements for safe disposal of electrical waste, as a distributor we are more than happy for you to return your old electrical products to ourselves on a like for like basis, so we can dispose of them safely and correctly. If you wish to do this, please be aware that it is your responsibility to cover transportation/shipping costs when returning items to ourselves. Our address is LikeALight 15 Brookfield Drive, Wolvey, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 3LT. Please include your name and order number so we can verify you have purchased from us in the previous 28 days and that the products you have returned are like for like. An example of an acceptable like for like return would be if you purchased 4 bulbs from ourselves and returned up to 4 bulbs. An example of an unnaceptable like for like return would be if you purchased 4 bulbs and sent back a microwave/kettle/washing machine/ large hadron collider etc. If you have any doubt/ questions please contact us.
Please note, the following is not a store or collection address...
